saturn

Always for certain, I am
Sprawled out across the floor
With a
Fork in the toaster
And my
Heart somehow beating faster than before
If i
Tie my hair up tall enough
Then will the
Laws of gravity
Still apply to me?
And when I
Reach Saturn and wrap myself around her rings
Will we be happy forever?

But that's not how I imagine it
That's not my safest bet
I'll wear a dress of kitchen cutlery
Tie balloons to my hair, see what happens next
I'll fold when i first touch the clouds
Land safely in Tibet
Then shave my head and turn into someone
That only craves regret

Plain in this pavement, i hang in
The dust that's collected on our shame
The changes we've made and
They drain from the sides of our ankles
Famous in anguish
A crater where i used to
Be
Foxes collecting on our heads
Where we once had hair
And inside is where we stayed until the end
