The Raven's Cry

Stand and listen to the ravens cry
It tells a tale of a time gone by
Of a battle fought on the misty shore
Of men whose names we remember no more

The sky turned dark, their hope to despair
Their breath into mist, like ghosts in the air
Snow was falling, their hearts full of dread
Snow that covered the living and the dead

Night fell fast, but the beacon burned bright
Over silence and sea, for the men, and their fight
Light through darkness, like a star it shone
A whisper like the wind, we're coming home

They raised their swords to the ravens cry
Through a starlit night they saw him fly
As they won their wars under bright winter skies
Victorious songs mixed with ravens cry
