Starting Over
I did an album with my niggaz Flex I know he deleted
Even Sabotaged my verses with the metronome beeping
I was telling my Leimert story
To a bunch of niggaz that was tryna make a buck off me
Couple old heads with a network
That ain't really reflective of they net worth
And there I was giving em my best work
Blinded by the fact they got Battle Cat up in there being big bro
Ignoring the fact they wouldn't let take my shit home
I hate that my Career keeps on finding itself here
Always in a struggle till I get tired then disappear
Never been consistent cause I was never independent
Was always in a deal needing other niggaz permission
I had bad luck and still had em jealous of that
Had the silver Chrysler 300 and selling Big Macs
Wit the fries supersized niggaz used to be clowning
But I still had the wave niggaz used to be drowning
Shit was never what it seemed lotta Hollywood acting
Bunch of script about what if but just not enough action
Losing faith in all the decisions I made with the music
All the goofy shit I was putting up with just to do it
Made me fall outta love shit just wasn't as fun
Not like it was when I was 18 and hungry as fuck
I'm like the king of starting over mister clean slate
Every time I get right where I wanna be they bring hate
The same niggaz you consider your fam
No matter how much you love em they just ain't meant to be apart of your plan
I had to learn first hand wit my mans
I bought him out of his end
Cause he had shit in life that got out of hand
And here I am looking crazy as usual
Tryna find another way to start over as usual
Niggaz quit on me again another feeling I'm use to
Tryna find the motivation cause depression is crucial
Even Sabotaged my verses with the metronome beeping
