Mary

Mary was just another child in my home
We used to sing and dance and play all day long
Then I found out
That I or they
Would have it all wrong
All I knew was I was never alone

As I lay here
The poison taste on my tongue
The daily darkness
Crawls across the floor
The day is far too gone
All I've done
Is talk to the spiders on my wall
As webs catch up what is left of my soul

I have seen what those doctors have done
To the ones like me who never feel so alone
And every time I think
I get caught up in the traps that I've sewn

As I lay here
The poison taste on my tongue
The daily darkness
Crawls across the floor
The day is far too gone
All I've done
Is talk to the spiders on my wall
As webs catch up what is left of my soul
