Flower

Right before your eyes
Isn't it a nice surprise
To see that flower grow?
But when you live the life I had
You begin to see
That flower die and grow again
In that spot
Where it never doesn't hurt
It always leaves a scar
In the same place

Wild flowers bloom
Unrequited...

Hold my hand tonight
Like you did
Holding for dear life
But when you look at her
Would she fit right in your arms?
But could I?
Could I just be held close?
Is this the last damn stage of youth?
It's getting harder to digest it

The garden starts to wilt
And succumbs...

There's a hole where I used to breathe
Covered in weeds and thorns
And the cycle starts again

A seed is...
Born
Born

Now that flower grows
But in a different spot
Far from my soul
So it's kept safe
No worry of thorns
But now I'm numb

I'm
Numb
Numb
Numb
Numb...
