Dwarf Star
I can't help feeling jaded
I'm a little bit faded among all of the lights
And it gets to my nerves
Whenever I'm feeling lost or left behind
Cause I keep trying and trying
But all these songs just aren't flying
So many successful stories
What am I doing wrong
Maybe they're just better
Or more liked than me
Sometimes it's discouraging
Looking up, I'm bright-eye'd
Staring at the night sky
Wondering if I'll ever get out of this city
Type II supernova
Building up, then blowup
A dying star, sight to see so pretty-
Full of complications and new vocations
Get your mind checked at the next STAR Station
Where would I be if I was interstellar
Maybe a seat on the charts
But I'm just a brown dwarf star, I'm trying
I'm so exhausted
Being surrounded by the traffic
And now I'm running a crosswalk
Sometimes I feel like I'm soft-locked
I'm forced to look left to right
Am I doing this right?
Remember, "Do your best
Don't expect things too fast
It doesn't make you any less"
Looking up, I'm bright-eye'd
Staring at the night sky
Wondering if I'll ever get out of this city
Type II supernova
Building up, then blowup
A dying star, sight to see so pretty-
Full of complications and new vocations
Get your mind checked at the next STAR Station
Where would I be if I was interstellar
Maybe a seat on the charts
But I'm just a brown dwarf star, I'm trying
No light, no fire
Not even bright in the middle of nowhere
No heart, no desire
Even though I wish for it all
Galaxies far away, maybe I'll hope for it one day
But I guess it'll have to wait
Looking up, I'm bright-eye'd
Staring at the night sky
Wondering if I'll ever get out of this city
Type II supernova
Building up, then blowup
A dying star, sight to see so pretty-
Full of complications and new vocations
Get your mind checked at the next STAR Station
Where would I be if I was interstellar
