Black Man's Thoughts
Yeah, Blessed B33ZY
I'm bout to lay my heart on this 1, y'all gon have to feel me
Rest in peace to all my fallen brothers out there
No matter how you fell bruh
We gon make sure you stay lifted, yeah
Look here
Man tell me this, why all of our black Kings got to die young
And watch our black Queens suffer over lost of their sons
It's like as a black Male we don't fit in anywhere
From the way we look to the knots in our hair
Man that's the reason that we think so highly of ourselves
So no matter what you say we got to know that we are heirs
To the throne, because we can't make it alone
We need God on our sides and enough money to loan
To be appreciated man you got to have bread right
Cuz for the right price it don't matter what your hair like
We got to have our chains shining from around our necks
But not remember that the chains that held us together in lack
We got to have our grill shining, and all sorts of diamonds
Just so we can blind ourselves from the truth that's inside us
We feel like man it's nothing we can do
To fit into a society that's just taught to shoot
Before they even make a clear judgment of what you're going through
Watching my brother's die everyday, so I keep that 40 too
Not the right direction but I got it for protection
Cuz in this world your life can be taken at any second
We also got to learn to take care of ourselves
All this fried food, trees, and drink don't leave us feeling so well
We need health and wealth, can't have 1 without the other
And as a culture we got to learn to uplift our brothers
No matter our differences or even where we stay at
Look at us, we got the same thing in common, we black
And that's all everybody else see when they look our way
So we got to stand together, cast at the end of a play
And bow to each other just to show our respects
Because we're Kings and if we don't tell each other, we won't know that
I said were Kings, and if we don't tell each other, we won't know that, yeah
See why we always gotta die young
Do it even matter where I'm from
Trying to be a role model to my sons
And make it home safe like a home run
See why we always gotta die young
Do it even matter where I'm from
We gon bring our bread together like some crumbs
I promise we gon make it out the slums
Aye man, we doing this for George and everybody else that died
And everybody that they killed and called it a suicide
You can run as much as you want but from them demons you can't hide
My life should be my own choice, who left that for you to decide
He laid in agony, the world had to watch and we cried
Cause all I saw was me and all my brothers by my side
They say you only live once well I'm trying to live devine
Ain't trying to have my life cut short like vacation time
Even when we try to protest we still get fought
Look at the pain in our eyes, can't you see that we're distraught
Since way back in the day our lives could be bought
And the lies kept us in line because that's what y'all taught
Like a free throw man, all we want is a fair shot
This just a glimpse into how I feel, take a look into a black man's thoughts
I said this just a glimpse into how I feel, take a look into a black man's thoughts
See why we always gotta die young
Do it even matter where I'm from
Trying to be a role model to my sons
And make it home safe like a home run
See why we always gotta die young
Do it even matter where I'm from
We gon bring our bread together like some crumbs
I promise we gon make it out the slums
You know how they say 30 is the new 20
If that's the case, we still ain't living til 25
Rest in peace George Floyd
And all my fallen brothers out there
I'm bout to lay my heart on this 1, y'all gon have to feel me
