People Change

Ya, life happens, and people change
But some happen, to stay the same
If you happen, to be that way
Don't get trapped in, something you hate
Cause, there's too many, things you can do
Then spend every, day thinking you
Are not ready, for something new
But you're ready, to play it cool
Why are the people who take risks, the people who live
And the people who don't, will never forgive
Them for what they did, not staying complacent
They hate that you're changing, who cares what they're saying
Cause I don't, I don't, and you shouldn't either
And I won't, I won't, give up when I'm tired
Cause I know, I know, my place is much higher
And I'll grow, I'll grow, until my lifetime expires

I'm always thinking bout changes, my mind is filled with the pages
Of everybody I've seen, I still remember their faces
I hope they're doing ok, I hope their all going places
I know we do different things, but that's how life is embrace it
You can go climb every mountain, you can go do anything
Don't take a drink from the fountain, if you won't water your dreams
If you feel like you're drowning, it's getting harder to breathe
Take a step back to think, catch your breath then proceed
You've gotta do it for you, nobody else in the room
Gotta walk past you boos, nobody else in your shoes
And when they all start to cheer, and everybody gets near
You've gotta steer clear of who? well everybody but you
These are some things you can do, to help you get through the day
And I sure hope they bring you, happiness for the pain
I really hope you get through, every step of the maze
What am I saying it's you, no doubt that you will do great

No doubt that you will make waves, and ride them till they cave
And when they do you'll get back up, and show them all that your brave
Then, you will go stack up, everything that you've made
Because you didn't get back up, to lay back down in the grave
Your dreams alive do you want it, enough to try till you've got it
Enough to grind cause it's worth it, and put in time without stopping
You'll really change your own person, you'll get the masses all talking
When they see that it's working, everybody will want it
But you can't give it to them, they just pretend they're a friend
They like to tell you they care, then leave you out on a limb
And when the money gets thin, no doubt they will disappear
Leaving you hopeless and scared, right back to where you began
Right back to where you met them, and let them borrow your trust
Let your guard down just once, and they will turn it to dust
All it takes is one touch, to kill your vibe and your buzz
You really gave them your love, and they returned it with lust
You really gave them your heart, your mind, your soul, and your strength
They took one drink from your cup, then dumped the rest down the drain
To think that it was enough, there is no more I can gain
Is just like doing a drug, without indulging in pain

My body's burning in flames, without the ash in a vase
So tired of playing new games, where I end up with a case
Of ten thousand knives in my back, blood dripping off of the blade
One day I will make it back, to where my body remains
I'll lose the pain and I'll gain, a life that's built with a plan
I'll lose the name I was gave, and change it all cause I can
And if you don't understand, the things I do, and I am
Then you can wait on the sidelines and I'll just chill with my fans
They're the ones who believe, the ones who follow my dream
The ones who've seen everything, I've done to help me succeed
And yes I know how I need, to grow a tree from a seed
Believe the ones with a dream, and hope that they believe me
