Coronavirus Soup for the Soul

Pillows of clouds
Crash to the ground in symbols of crowds
What can be found
Gold in the river our collection drowned
Who holds the town
Enter saloon drink till the well is found
Quench my thirst
We ain't never been given what we're worth
So let's go hurt
Another target another mark to merk
Let's go work
Another dam and floods we skirt
Looking up but all I see is dirt
New dress shoes and my nicest shirt
Found myself underneath their girth
Followed their words with nothing worth

Hold on tight
This just might last more than the night
Sleep in fright
Open eyes to the darkened skies

Saw ourselves
Grabbed everything that wouldn't melt
Hold your felts
The cold has begun to meld
With our hearts
True intentions hit like a dart
Missing parts
Push in line at the mart
No Covid when I motion that we are sick
The road is over the coast sits on a lift
Licked the toad just to boast meaning and missed
The point that we grip and the message just drips
Onto our food and we eat what we shit
Talk out our ass and then kiss on the lips
Spread the disease that is how we exist
So update your status and check off your list

Hold on tight, this just might last more than the night
Sleep in the fright, open eyes to the darkened skies
