Feet, Don’t Fail Me Now - Live From the Woods

It's time to get a little loose, y'all ready?

I got this target right here on my back
They're aiming where i was not where i'm at
They ain't stopped me since i was eighteen
I'm moving faster than my enemies

I can't slow down
Can't get stuck
I'd rather die than have to hang it up

Don't wanna look up and it be over
Don't want to wish that i had longer
It's my time (it's my time)
Said it's my town (it's my town)
I pray my feet won't ever slow me down
Let me see you now

I've seen my last dream roll out around me
I'm trying to chase me down a fantasy
I felt the moonlight come down and touch me
I need another night before you leave

Don't wanna look and it be over
Don't wanna wish that i had longer
It's my time (it's my time)
Said it's my town (it's my town)
Yeah, it's my town (it's my town)
Oh, it's my town (it's my town)
I pray my feet won't ever slow me down
Don't fail me now
Don't fail me now
I pray my feet don't ever slow me down

Would you say hello to will carlo on the guitar back here?
And give you a little something to boogie to, you ready?

I said feet, don't fail me now
Feet, don't fail me now
I said feet, don't fail me now
Feet, don't fail me now
I said feet, don't fail me now
Feet, don't fail me now
I said feet, don't fail me now
Feet, don't fail me now
Don't fail me now

Don't fail me now
Don't fail me now
I pray my feet don't ever slow me down
Don't fail me now
Don't fail me now
I pray my feet don't ever slow me down

We just put a record out called out of body, and uh
We're gonna play y'all a lot of songs from that record because
One, it means a lot to us
And uh, two, we didn't get to tour behind it
Which is one of the weirdest feelings we've ever had
I wrote this song, uh, about my wife, and uh
We got married a long time ago, we were very very young
And she said, uh, "One of your jobs is to cage in the crazy"
I didn't love that 'cause i'm not, i'm not a cage and she's not crazy
But i got what she was trying to say
And over the years i've been trying to write a love song
Where the metaphor worked, and uh
I thought maybe banks of a river
Was a better description
I'm just trying to help out when i can but stay out of the way
You know what i'm saying?
This is called "Banks of Your River"
