I Don't Think So

You used to speak to me with poetry
Now we never speak at all
Those memories may bring me agony
But I'd still answer if you called
Cause I've always been there for you
But that's something you could never do
So tell me again, I am so insignificant to you

You gave me hope, I called you home
Now I'm alone, and you're a ghost
So do you mean it when you say
That you will always keep me safe?
No, I don't think so

I held you tight despite the stormy nights
To lift you up when you were down
So many times that I was terrified
And you were no where to be found
So tell me, was this ever real?
Cause I never know how to feel
Or maybe in the end, this was all pretend for you

You gave me hope, I called you home
Now I'm alone, and you're a ghost
So do you mean it when you say
That you will always keep me safe?
No, I don't think so
