White Collar Crime

Every night I find a way to bring my worries home
And every time I find a way to make you feel alone
But I'm scared to face all my sorrows
So I drink them away 'til tomorrow
All these nights that I waste just feel hollow
A white collar crime
I swear I'm just passing time

Every time I face the mirror, I face the music too
To be a man who's on the mend who can't help but sing the blues
So I write down the things that I reason
Make some sense in the light as I see them
Just my way to explain how I'm feeling
A hook and a rhyme
I swear I'm just passing time

I know there's a life that's beyond these walls
Volcanoes and mountains and waterfalls
And I'll die just in trying to see them all
It's alright

But the thought of this life kind of makes me sick
I've done all the dreaded arithmetic
Can I keep pushing pills 'til I'm sixty six
It's a white collar crime
I swear I'm just passing time

I swear I'm just passing time
I swear I'm just passing time
