The End

A sequence of events with order out of place
And the feeling that there's something I should do

If one reality is all we can create
I prefer to live in one that I can choose

I wish that I could say that this was easy
But the end was always slightly out of range

I made up an enemy
That I could blame while I watched everything else dissolve

But the answer was staring me right in the face all along
There never was an ending there at all

Searching everywhere
Dead ends every place
But there's always gotta be another clue

It's all theatrical
The way that it's been staged
But there's only so much acting I can do

I've always been too bored to take it easy
But I've never had the energy to run

I made up an enemy
That I could blame while I watched everything else dissolve

But the answer was staring me right in the face all along

There never was an ending there at all
