How Could We Have Ever Been Good?

OK I'm giving up I'm going to listen to all my doubts
PBS special in my head syndications running out
We've never been to awkward to ignore the drugs
Never antisocial enough
To get what we want
Ever been to high to notice
Your friends are around
Are you worried
About coming down

Its hard to be the burden when the money isn't there
Even if you had the money
Would you even care
To tired from the working
To notice
You're not there

How could we have ever been good
My dad burnt down the neighborhood
EDM at the rave has turned off
Police lights are on
Your ADHD is gone

Maybe my work ethic is a little less than sloppy
Maybe I'm just tired of the grind
Everybody nowadays
We're all Artist
We'll all be famous just give us time

The future is the price to pay for our parents apathy
But watch us repeat our history
Thanks for the debt and global warming
All the things you could of gotten to later
When you had all the time in the world to savor

Ok i'm really good
Good at giving up
With people nowadays its so cool
Not to give a Fudge
Not to give a Fudging Fudge
