The Slow Drown

A deafening silence
Shrieking without a mouth
A cry without help
The slow drown begins

As if forever drowning without dying
Gasping for air
Back then a dreamland devoid of noise
But now a nightmare, a void of noise

The burden of life is pulling you down
The resource called life is finite
Twisting and turning and longing to die
Repetition of phrases decay of the mind
Decay of the mind

What was I, is now lost
A reflection of a stranger

It is gone - Wake up in your lonely husk
Back to the soma you despise
This empty defeat, so valiant
An elegy lost in time

Could I explain the beauty of nothingness? Nothingness
I would sing my song till the end of time
But here I am in a prison without walls
Lead me beyond the sea of fog

Solace and bliss in a lifetime of pain
The autumn leaves starts to molder
Enter the domain of twilight
Monumental loneliness

Withering away, alone and forgotten
This house leveled by desolation
An unmarked grave doomed to obscurity
An elegy lost to timeless winds
