He gave us time

When the devil sinned against God
He sinned in eternity
Yesterday, today, tomorrow Simultaneously
As a forever being
His decisions were final
So when he chose to go below
He should have known it would be Final
See the thing about being eternal
Is that sin in you becomes infernal
That's just the way it is, yeah

So when God made you and me
He put us in a place called time
Giving us a chance to do it over
If we could not get it right
He knows how we are formed
That we'd need to be reborn
That's why Jesus came
His mercy's new now every morning
