Now it seems the world has turned to take you on instead
Left with only your excuses!
I'm sorry but I have to go, I cannot stay

Away to feel the emptiness inside
Tell me everything will be alright
For now I'll make it look like I don't care

So, back down to the bottom of my misery I fall, so slowly
Blinded by this strangely addictive darkness
As I fade into myself letting go of all emotion
I crave the focus that I once had, it's strange

These days I feel alone, no matter where I go
Drive down to the theater, and see another show
The music makes me forget all my cares
And everyone's completely unaware
