Inside Spring

Is there a chance that someday
I could be just like everyone else?
and not have to worry 'bout social norms
and the way that I dress?
and talk about myself with confidence
and not complete disgust?
I wish I could be like the rest of them
and never give a fuck

And yeah, I'm crazy
but I wish it didn't have to be this way
And my friends like it
but I'm not happy at the end of the day
And mom and dad if you are listening
I'm sorry I messed up
I wish I could be like the rest of them
and never give a fuck

I'll spend my springtime inside
hiding from myself
And staring down at a screen
people can be so mean
I'll write a story of us
make fiction in my brain
And then I'll throw it away
let it wash down the drain
