I'm Still Here
Well I made this trip several years ago
Followed my heart cause I couldn't say no
Left everything that I'd ever known for some fortune and some fame
Went way past broke paying dues
Right down to nothing but my soul to lose
And I'm way past having something to prove
Or changing the way I sing
These roads paved in blood sweat and tears
I'm still here
I been told I'd be the next big thing
Been told I should've never came
Even stopped believing in myself a time or too
It's a sobering thought to think sometimes
That I might've done nothing but waste my time all these years
Call me dumb
Or just plain lucky
I'm still here
This ol town's full of dreamers like me
We're all searchin' for the same thing
Just somewhere to play and sing
And a crowd to sing along
I've seen a lot of good people pack it up
And head back home when they'd had enough
And turn their back on what they love and try to move on
These roads paved in blood sweat and tears
But I'm still here
I been told I'd be the next big thing
Been told I should've never came
Even stopped believing in myself a time or too
It's a sobering thought to think sometimes
That I might've done nothing but waste my time all these years
Call me dumb
Or just plain lucky
I'm still here
Some nights I bow my head to pray
I wonder if God hears what I say
He ain't through with me that much is clear
I'm still here
Oh I'm still here
I'm still here
Oh I'm still
Yeah
Mm hmm
Oh
Yeah
Followed my heart cause I couldn't say no
Left everything that I'd ever known for some fortune and some fame
Went way past broke paying dues
Right down to nothing but my soul to lose
And I'm way past having something to prove
Or changing the way I sing
These roads paved in blood sweat and tears
I'm still here
I been told I'd be the next big thing
Been told I should've never came
Even stopped believing in myself a time or too
It's a sobering thought to think sometimes
That I might've done nothing but waste my time all these years
Call me dumb
Or just plain lucky
I'm still here
This ol town's full of dreamers like me
We're all searchin' for the same thing
Just somewhere to play and sing
And a crowd to sing along
I've seen a lot of good people pack it up
And head back home when they'd had enough
And turn their back on what they love and try to move on
These roads paved in blood sweat and tears
But I'm still here

Been told I should've never came
Even stopped believing in myself a time or too

I wonder if God hears what I say
He ain't through with me that much is clear
I'm still here
Oh I'm still here
I'm still here
Oh I'm still
Yeah
Mm hmm
Oh
Yeah
