Andromeda's Afternoon

The latest shindig is well under way
A space age dreamboat has just captured my eye
Let's get some fresh air before the next song will play
They say yes but longingly up to the sky

Some say my hubris will be our end
And pride comes before destruction of the ego
Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven
Especially if you put on a good show

When they pull me right off to the side
And say there's a secret that they must confide
The pretty ones always have something good to hide
I thought to myself before they had replied with
There are evils in the world at play
Protectors from the stars have to keep them at bay
That's what I am and it's all I'll ever be
So I steal away to get a taste of human parties

I'm extraterrestrial
Just isn't that wonderful
I'm extraterrestrial
Isn't that wonderful

Killing some time with a guardian of Earth
A ray gun dangles on their alien hips
Return to the mothership don't you know your worth
Isn't that what causes the moon to eclipse

Now whenever I see a shooting star
The star decides to hover over my house
Sparkling bright deep in the night
I know you are there
Out of sight a trail of light
You zoom off somewhere
