Hotel Room
"How long does a happy marriage last?"
She asks herself as she looks back on her past
Never been an angel herself
And so she might as well go back to hell
So she thought of things to do
Something exciting, something new
Where she wouldn't feel as bored
Or as numb as she used to do
"Don't wait up for me", he tells his wife
"I'll be working longer than just nine to five"
Her husband wished he knew what she needed
But she's damn good at keeping secrets
He hasn't been happy for quite some time
But wifey doesn't care as long as he earns the dime
So she brings her nerves
And he brings the wine
And they booked a hotel room
They'll meet monday at noon
His wife can never know
They're putting up quite a show
They risk it all
Is the flight really worth the fall?
Destroying lives, killing dreams
But lust wins over love
Or at least so it seems
Patient husband, corporate suit
Lonely wife but she still looks kinda cute
But all that is not enough for them
So they made a plan
He said
"Meet me in our hotel room"
She'll be there far too soon
Her husband raised suspicion
But that doesn't change anything about her decision
Meeting at a hotel room
So they don't have to feel alone
Room service just to make it through
Their guilt will eat them up real soon
From the first moment on harm was done
In a hotel room
She asks herself as she looks back on her past
Never been an angel herself
And so she might as well go back to hell
So she thought of things to do
Something exciting, something new
Where she wouldn't feel as bored
Or as numb as she used to do
"Don't wait up for me", he tells his wife
