Mystery Meat
I just got fired from my job but I don't
Care because I know I'm better
Than working part-time at some trashy
Fast food restaurant with a hair net on my head
Three hours a week wasn't worth the time
I put into cooking the mystery meat
After gas and insurance twenty bucks
Doesn't seem so sweet
But I've still got my music, I've still got my mind
My lungs are still breathing, there's still so much time
I promise I'll make it, I won't lag behind
I know that I'm worthy, now where should I sign?
Give me one good reason
Why I should care
About the way things are when
I'm not even there
And give me motivation and
Oh I swear
I'll get it right first try but the
Motive's just not there, just not there
I realize that I'm not as productive
As I would like to be
So I cut my hair with hopes that
The outer changes would help fuel my mentality
One brick at a time I began to
Reconstruct the building that is my life
And after completion, my building
Didn't quite reach the sky
But I've still got my music, I've still got my mind
My lungs are still breathing, there's still so much time
I promise I'll make it, I won't lag behind
I know that I'm worthy, now where should I sign?
Give me one good reason
Why I should care
About the way things are when
I'm not even there
And give me motivation and
Oh I swear
I'll get it right first try but the
Motive's just not there, just not there
And what little time I do have left is being spent
In my head thinking of different ways to help me vent
And when I stumble on a keeper every now and then
I use it to its fullest up until it's dead
Give me one good reason
Why I should care
About the way things are when
I'm not even there
And give me motivation and
Oh I swear
I'll get it right first try but the
Motive's just not there
Give me one good reason
Why I should care
About the way things are when
I'm not even there
And give me motivation and
Oh I swear
I'll get it right first try but the
Motive's just not there, just not there
Care because I know I'm better
