This Body Isn't All There is to Who I Am

There's a voice I can hear, that's not my own
And it comes from a place void of fear
And it speaks out of love, wisdom, and grace
And of things we should hold near and there

It's the sound of the wind, as it circles the night
And the raindrops on rooftops made of tin
It was there on the day I came into this world
And will surely be there in the end

This body isn't all there is to who I am
What you see is the least of what you get
When my time runs its course, I'll return to the source
'Til that day, come what may, not there yet

If I'd known what I know a long time ago
I have made of my life something more
But then, who's to say that there was some other way
That I can open and close every door?

This body isn't all there is to who I am
What you see is the least of what you get
When this life runs its course, I'll return to the source
'Til that day, come what may, not there yet
For today, come what may, no not yet
