I woke up to see you standing there
Full of shock, I was lost in your familiar stare
Feeling your breath in the frozen air
Touch running through my hair
Can't be imagined

You spoke so soft, I could barely hear
You were close, like a ghost
Not morose, but calming me of fear
Just as your image was coming clear
I reached but you disappeared
You disappeared

The second time, I was more prepared
Had to know more, but before you left me in despair
And out of habit I'll say a prayer, cause I need you to be here

I only wanted to understand
Why you went, what this meant
To prevent you from repeating it
But this encounter came to an end, and I'm left alone again
