Sunday Drive

It's like a Sunday morning drive
And it's about ten and your heading to church
But lord knows that you're tired
And your mom is already being curt

Cause you stayed up late watching tv again
And the preacher is going on about something
But you're too focused on what's for lunch

The strictness of pavement keeps me afloat
As my feet seem to move without being told
Moving in a line to allow me to breathe

Moving so that I don't permanently fall asleep
That you are turning into every other kid who has ever lived before

The strictness of pavement keeps me afloat
