Love Me Through It
I've learned the highs are even better once you've gone through lows
I've learned that since my grandpa passed that I'm not scared of ghosts
I've learned that it's okay for you to change your goals
just as long as you make some more to propel your growth
The only thing that's constant is change
and you sure miss out a lot when you've been stuck in your ways
And if a picture says a thousand words, then what does it say
Is it the picture that does the talking, or the look on their faces
Lately, I've had a lot of thoughts on my mind
Since we've been locked inside, I've had nothing but time
Like, what's a dollar worth if we can't leave it behind
We're making money when we should spend time
And what I've learned is that it's best to learn by live and, learn
You can let it build you up, or you can crash and burn
And if you're doing what you love, it doesn't feel like work
You tend to find what's meant for you once you stop the search
And things change so fast, how the time goes by
And even if things get bad, I'll be by your side
And I get it in my head sometimes
And I get it in my head sometimes
And if I think too much, too much
If I think too much, would you love me through it
I've had some things I thought would end me actually turn to blessings
I've had some things I thought I wanted turn to teach me lessons
I'm trusting God and the universe, I guess
Learned to try to control the outcome, just turn my mental to a mess
Lately, I've been finding beauty in the little things
Heard some kids outside, they took me back to Little League
Back with dad coaching the team
Playing ball in the backyard with my brother and me
And now all of us grown
Building lives and families of our own
No matter where I go, that house will always be home
And I've worked my whole life in music, but now I don't know if
if I want to live my life on the road
I mean, I want to play shows, but I miss the people back home
And there's pros and cons to everything, yes, I know
Guess I'll follow the passion, the rest is out of my control
It's real
And things change so fast, how the time goes by
And even if things get bad, I'll be by your side
And I get it in my head sometimes
And I get it in my head sometimes
And if I think too much, too much
If I think too much, would you love me through it
If I think too much, would you love me through it
