Kaleidoscope Eyes

I'm thinking of thoughts on too many clocks
And it looks like the hands are stopped
I'm thinking of thoughts with something that I bought
It's possible I might get lost

Circling myself
Am I still here

I have just been watching my face flesh move
In a reflection that lags behind
My vision fills with colors of sleeve tattoos
With meanings that I struggle to find

I'm wandering between these twisting feelings
In snow up to my knees
Stranded on an island where I'm not seeing
I don't need help but company

Circling myself
Spirals in the glow

Connected are the motions of your arms
That are waving while you talk
About a half idea that you can barely recall
Tuck your hair behind your ears

Now I can finally feel the weighted heart string pull
Pouring into riverbeds on ground that had been dusted dull
It seems that it's been several years since existing seemed so real
So I'll enjoy these couple of hours until I return to a house of steel

Addressing paradigms with kaleidoscope eyes
I needed to prove
The relations between matter space and time
The connections that we made were true

That the world boils down to a series of numbers
That either are or are not
And I can feel the warmth of the unbound summers
Even in this winter cold
