My Favorite Story
Have you heard the story of the scorpion and the frog? No
Thats funny, this is actually my favorite story
There was once a scorpion that had somewhere to be
While he was on his way he came to a river he couldn't cross
Because scorpions cannot not swim
He ran up and down the river looking for a way to cross
No rocks, no bridge but he met a frog
The scorpion kindly asked the frog "Can I ride on your back across the river?"
And the frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?"
The scorpion says, "Because if I do, I'll die too. I can't swim"
The frog thinks about it and agrees to give the scorpion a ride
Once they get out into river the scorpion stings the frog
The frog goes numb and starts to sink
Knowing they both will drown the frog gathers all his strength to ask "Why?"
And the scorpion answers: "Its my nature"
My question was always: who was wrong?
Shouldn't the scorpion change its nature to survive?
Shouldn't the frog have believed in what it knew?
