Face the Light

I got lost in the concrete jungle trying to find myself
In the end all I discovered was a cry for help
Teetering on the edge
Compelled to set upon this treacherous trail
Steady lurking in the shadows, see all the traps are set
Never thought I could get that low until my back against the wall
This mask comes off
I have to depart from paths of degradation

No one wants to face the light, no
Though we've gotta take the fight
To their door and drive it through their core
I can't ignore

Hit the end of my rope until I'd seen a different fate
As a loner it's tough finding others to reciprocate
The energy it's going to take to keep up with this rapid pace
I know at times I'm a bit too much to handle, but
You know my intentions are good, I won't abandon my core
I know the world wants to destroy my hope
I'll die before they change me
Is there anybody out there?
Is there anybody out there?
Anybody out there?

No one wants to face the light, no
Though we've gotta take the fight
To their door and drive it through their core
I can't ignore
