Bill's Song
Bill's Song (Monday May 4th)
He remembered Friday
When the Knickerbockers were shut off
A Water Street Riot Ensued
Shut down the Playoffs
Spent some time in Colorado
Transferred over to Kent State Ohio
Dr. Glenn Frank was really tops
To go and study the rocks
Bill was on Scholarship
Through the ROTC Program
He'd been into the Military History
But hated learning how to kill
Peasants and civilians
Peasants and civilians
He didn't dig that part no-no--
Someday he wore his uniform
And the faculty upset him
And they named him first sergeant
But in the end he would
Stand with his friends
- standing united with
A student body -
who was not about to run from this political fight
This is Bill's Song
Why can't we get along?
This is Rodney's song
Why can't we All just get along
Monday on May 4th
It was Bill's last day
Here on Kent State Campus
Monday on May 4th
It was Bill's last day
Here on Planet Earth
