In Her Voice
I remember that time when
My mom took my from the airport
To my grand-parent's home in Iceland
The thing that you need to know is in Iceland
During the summer the sun
Doesn't come down
It stays
So I was in the car and my mother was driving
But she was driving very slowly
I don't know why
But
I remember looking at the window and seeing
The sun and the orange colours
That were carresssong the dunes of Iceland
Or at least the place that we were
I don't remember where we were
But when I looked at the other window
The one in front of me
Well next to me
I could see the moon
And I could see this time
The very blue depressing colours
Carressing the dunes of Iceland
Of where we were
I don't remember
She then took a turn
And the moon and the sun
Just
Blended
And they both were carressing the dunes of Iceland
And I've never seen something as beautifule
As that
I'll always remember it
Just the blue colours
And orange colours blending together
Was so beautiful and magical
And during that time my mom was singing
She was singing some old Icelandic songs
And I don't think I could remember the title
It was such a long time ago
But there was something
Someting with the view
Something with the fact that I was tired
It was practicly midnight
And you know I was 10 years old so
I was really tired
And
Everything blending
The tiredness
The beautifulness
The voices
And I could hear she was smiling
I don't know how
But I could hear it
I could hear it
