Steering Clear

I get up already angry that nothing's out to get me again
I pretend that something's overflowing, but not the way I wanted
I dream of some catharsis, I swear when I'm there I never let it harden

But I stop to start the day, I'll just think another way
Not too late, just afraid there's nothing that I'm wanting
I'm breaking at the stitches, the first of many wishes
It's hard to explain, there's nothing that I'm feeling at all

There must be something here, but is it worth it
And I'm still steering clear, just not on purpose

I ignore another message until they learn the lesson
Without a response that I'm not that invested
But maybe I'm just lying, it's easier than trying to say what I think
There's nothing that I'm feeling at all

There must be something here, but is it worth it
And I'm still steering clear, just not on purpose

I'm not proud, no I don't mean to stop it earnestly
I could stand to be convinced to try it perfectly

There must be something here, but is it worth it
And I'm still steering clear, just not on purpose
There must be something here, but is it worth it
And I'm still steering clear, just not on purpose
