Scyne Act I
As time progressed several seasons has passed
The snow all around has been stained
It's white embrace was no more
The skies are ashy grey
The air is heavy and thick
With Kythe more at ruins
The population grew thin
The surrounding lords did not care
The everlasting plains were barren
The roads were more desolate than before
All you could see is emptiness
This is a tale about a specific huntress known as Scyne
One of the youngest members in her group
She was only a child when her clan were murdered in cold blood
And she has sworn to take revenge for the murder of her clan
Scyne wasn't any ordinary human like the rest of the people
She knew she was different
Only her and no one else knew that she was part demon
For anyone else to know she was
She would be publicly executed
Her abilities grant her pyromania and immunity to most curses
With these abilities to her disposal she knew was she had to do
And so she was seeking
For the answer
With isolating herself from most of the population
She became weary growing up
With no allies to call upon
She trusted no one
Scyne eventually showed no emotion and became expressionless
Her smile was no more
All she felt was anger
There has been several opportunities where she wanted to take her life
Although, somehow she kept reminding herself to not to give up
She kept saying
If I cant stop him, then who will
She didn't want anyone else to suffer more
Looking down at her hands
A flashback came through
She recalled the trauma she endured
The cries of her family murdered still lingers in her head
The smell of the blood is faintly felt in her nose
The sight of heads falling off
The last bit of life fading from their eyes
It's so dark
Cold and empty
Till this day
It still pains her very much
It's what fuel her anger
More than ever
To think loyalists could ever support that tyrant
A murderer of all things
Although, her question is
What drives him to be like this
Is it for revenge
Is it just plain murder
Or for absolute control
Most of Crimson Night was already wiped out
So far there has been no other survivors
As far as she knows from what little information is given
what is to take most caution of is the warlock
Apparently the warlock is Nuraz' second in command
To fight him is none other than a death sentence
Most of these dark arts curses can't be lifted and will end up eating away the victims lifespan
Fortunately Scyne can resist most of curses since she's half demon
Regardless, this destined fight Scyne will have to face
Will not be an easy task for her
For her to fight the warlock will require such training that is inhumane
One that is not for any ordinary human
Perhaps her sanity could be at a breaking point
To the point where her demon blood can take over
Those fangs and eyes ready to devour a soul within sight
Consuming the life of any human was something she was against
She would have felt less human
After all, it's not like she has a whole lot left in her
Especially all her deities
Scyne, known to be the last of her kind
The everlasting demi human
A near perfect being
All of her deities
All of her burdens
To weigh her down
But not for this task
As the day fell
And darkness rose
Came an opportunity
To strike at once
The cold air
The winters embrace
It's just a like before
And soon
To end his reign of terror
For the people
And the land of Kythe
Her blade, ready as ever
All sharpened
Ready to slash her enemies
In the shadows
Where her presence is masked
Swift as the wind
And fierce as a hawk
May death bring upon the end
As how crimson night has done before
Liberation at our grasp
And a bloody fight
For our freedom
Is what we desire
Unchain these shackles
To live as free
To feel the fresh air
Without smoke
Chaos and peril
Without the need of monarchy
A dictator in rule
Certainly is the goal
It is within my grasp
Once he pays for what he's done
Then surely will this suffice
After all
It's his head I want
Her mind slips back into consciousness
Remembering the terror she witnessed
Brings a very cold chill to her
To think that dreadful day still haunts her
All of the bodies before her lying there all lifeless
Each and every soul vanishing and soon into nothingness
To this day it just feels like a burden to her to bear
But alas she knows she has a job to do
Then perhaps
She'll feel more at peace
So, you finally shown up huh
Out here to take thine head
All that suffering I had to endure
You will pay with your blood
So naïve of you Scyne
If only you really knew what you're up against
With Scyne witnessing the dark arts
What she witnessed was necromancy, forbidden spells and curses
To see the faces of her fellow comrades and loved ones
To put her blade against them and end their life once more was a pain
And so she will have to burn these empty shells into ashes
So that they will never be used once more
Tho she felt like it was murder
But after all it was a favor
Not bad, you nearly got me there
So tell me how the hell can you survive all what I've thrown at you
Heh I'm not any ordinary human
To tell you the truth I'm actually part demon
Ahh It all makes sense now why your heart hasn't stopped
Dam that goddess
Dam her to hell
Well, what are you waiting for
You already defeated me
All of my limbs are no more
Tell me this for what purpose you had in Yom
That answer does not lye with me
Rather more head east to Varcel
Very well then, as you wish
As for Scyne, she was able to make the murderer of Yom pay
It wasn't an easy fight for her
Nearly at the cost of her own life
With barely surviving at the skin of her teeth
And with the warlock dead
She can at least take a breath for her self before her next task
Perhaps the next chapter in her journey to Varcel
Who knows what new horrors awaits her
New discoveries and life
Perhaps a forgotten land, ancient beings or weaponry of black magic
Regardless she's not done with this fight
There is no time to waste upon grieving about the past nor of the recent incidents
And now fleeing from the land of Kythe
She begins her next task
The snow all around has been stained
It's white embrace was no more
The skies are ashy grey
