Community Garden

A sickness like pollen in the air
Don't breathe it in
Lock it down, dead, decay in the garden
The seeds planted in my lungs and throat
And I'm damn scared today how I'm breathing
The soil and the moss will gather on a rock
Because I'm down, dead, the daylight is breaking

It's restless underneath the ground
I'll be damned if today is shaking
The soil is hard as rock
You can't water it enough
Because I'm down, dead the daylight is breaking

The wooden floors of tenement halls can't keep out the sound
Of tonal bells that ring from hell
You can't remember where you heard their promises before
I'm not the road out of here you thought I'd become

The stress is the disease let it in
Because I'm down, dead, the daylight is breaking
Dendritic roots take hold in my veins so old
Makes my blood fresh and cold as the ocean

Neighbours ring their bells in deadened streets
Signal systems collapse
We are all one
The soil and the moss
Gather like my thoughts
In the dark, dead the daylight is sinking

The wooden floors of tenement halls can't keep out the sound
Of tonal bells that ring from hell
You can't remember where you heard their promises before
I'm not the road out of here you thought I'd become
