Butterflies

Hotels put me right to sleep
Something so comforting about being away from home
Plain white sheets and walls
and gray phones to make calls
to people you'll never know
people so close yet so far, so far

So I'll stay for the night
I'll stay up wondering what the people lying beside me are like
And I'm not used to the time
but I like falling asleep to the sound of the tide

Airports always give me butterflies but I'm just passing by
I gotta get back to my new home where I'm never alone
People working all through the night
Oh man, I bet they're tired
I like being surrounded by the voices saying goodnight

So I'll stay for the night
I'll stay up wondering what the people lying beside me are like
And I'm not used to the time
but I like falling asleep to the sound of the tide

I've only been collecting pieces of souls
One day these pieces gonna make me a whole one
This timeless feeling it is taking its toll on me,
on me

So I'll stay all my life
I found a place where I can hide
and dull is dignified
And I'm not used to the time
but I like falling asleep to the sound of the tide
