Catharsis

Take a seat, fam
Chill with me for a second
Help me relieve these stresses
Meditating with the Matcha
Gazing out the window, reminiscing on my sagas

Working two jobs after college
Had me pondering the price of knowledge
Inner voices telling me I'm worthless
Looking at the dirt, thinking that I'm worth less
School never taught how to cope
With my stress or the chains in my chest
Or the boulders of debt that will rain on my vest
And the pain doesn't rest, but the poetry conveys
Every thought complex (Yes)
Dolo on my path, dash like F-zero
Learned from a Madvillain how to be a hero
RIP to MF, he led the game like mush
And ignited the mic in every soul touched (Word)
I try to see the glass half full
Collective intellect is on the rise
Yet racism is still claiming lives
Older generational lies leaving some hypnotized
Hate bubbling like cyanide over choice of lovers, really brother
(Come on)
Kids dozing on Disney covers are now taking cover
Man, is this another (Come on)
Universe and I've been teleported
All the news reported
Looking so distorted
All that rigor mortis
Makes you wanna floor it
Off into mazes inside a fortress

My purpose might be to make a magnum opus
Maybe I'll eliminate that magnum focus
From another human who is standing hopeless
And that is the reason why I'm crafting dopeness (Yup)
Nothing anyone could possibly tell me
Is worse than what I've told me at my worst
Lifting my spirit's like lifting a curse
I welcome the future hate to its hearse

Just seeking a little catharsis
Glad you could make it, my journey just started (Yea)
Would you follow for thousands of miles
As if I was tracing edges of the Nile
River
River
River
River
River
