The Ballad of Lampshade Ed
It was a Tuesday and Ed's patience had run thin
Cos he was fresh out of boxes to hide problems in
He told his angels but demons heard as well
Cos Ed lived halfway to Heaven and halfway to Hell
His ma had preached about immortality
About the evils of drinking and the female species
And Ed sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Outside of school Ed spend his time on the farm
He knelt on stones to say his preyers and tended pigs in the barn
He was a shy boy who laughed at his own jokes
His mannerisms seemed real strange to most other folks
Of all the things he read the most time that he spent
was on the divine retribution in the Old Testament
And Ed Sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
It was a Sunday and Ed's worry was his sins
He tried but couldn't stop thinking bout touching skin
His ma had made her business washing his mind
Eventually he made a hobby outta tanning hide
He made a lamp he made a seat he made a belt
It was a pure and wholesome pastime
Or so our young Ed felt
And Ed sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Cos he was fresh out of boxes to hide problems in
He told his angels but demons heard as well
Cos Ed lived halfway to Heaven and halfway to Hell
His ma had preached about immortality
About the evils of drinking and the female species
And Ed sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Outside of school Ed spend his time on the farm
He knelt on stones to say his preyers and tended pigs in the barn
He was a shy boy who laughed at his own jokes
His mannerisms seemed real strange to most other folks
Of all the things he read the most time that he spent
was on the divine retribution in the Old Testament
And Ed Sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
It was a Sunday and Ed's worry was his sins
He tried but couldn't stop thinking bout touching skin
His ma had made her business washing his mind
Eventually he made a hobby outta tanning hide
He made a lamp he made a seat he made a belt
It was a pure and wholesome pastime
Or so our young Ed felt
And Ed sang
Hell yeah ey hey hey
Hell yeah ey hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
Hell yeah yeah hey
