Through It All (Been Through It)
So check it my nigga.
let me give you my recipe.
I'm The last of a dying breed,
with a full grown pedigree.
I hear too many voices,
I think I need some therapy,
my grandmomma was a Creek,
my granddaddy a Cherokee.
And I'm derived from it,
I arrived from it very terribly.
But I got a strong stomach,
pay attention listen carefully.
This is for the ones,
that was in my past
who wasn't there for me.
I did it accordingly,
I made my own melody.
You are who are
when no one is looking,
integrity.
And when I joined the army,
chemical ops, was my specialty.
I lost a lot of friends though,
all because of jealousy.
Some niggas caught misdemeanors,
but others caught felonies.
I got three cousins,
that's living heavenly,
they died by a bullet,
so a firearm I gotta tote heavily.
And I'm on a mission,
cause I'm leaving me a legacy.
If I'm the worst part,
my son gone be the best of me.
Until the death of me.
and if you know what I know,
then you wouldn't have to question a nigga.
nigga I been through it
The Lord keep blessing a nigga,
but the world keep stressing a nigga.
nigga I been through it.
Every day, life is testing a nigga,
but I'm still manifesting my nigga.
nigga I been through it.
The Lord keep blessing a nigga.
But the world keep stressing a nigga.
nigga I been through it.
My whole life I been chastised.
At 5 years old
me and my brother got baptized.
And I ain't even know how
to move,
plot,
strategize.
Cause I ain't never hang around the
preppy type, college guys.
And I'm in the streets
until somebody tell me otherwise.
I'm getting money,
I ain't never been color blind.
And I still close the blinds,
be paranoid and peeping through it.
You can smell the weed on my clothes,
it seeping through it.
Evil music,
and the world so immune to it.
I'm out here raising (raisin) a son,
can't be prune to it.
Goon fluid,
it's running a course through my veins.
Some things I can't
explain if you never
felt the pain.
Or standing outside with no umbrella
in the rain,
or betting on a team that already
lost the game.
Or standing next to ya homie
and he catch one
in the brain,
a suicidal mission,
going head on with a train.
Damn.
and if you know what I know,
then you wouldn't have to question a nigga.
nigga I been through it
The Lord keep blessing a nigga,
but the world keep stressing a nigga.
nigga I been through it.
Every day, life is testing a nigga,
