College Knowledge
Went to college but got no job
Studied hard, but I also partied a lot
You know, I wouldn't change a thing
Because I learned quite a bit
I never had a plan for the future
I never thought five years ahead
Assumed that I'd figure it out later
I don't really know what was going through my head
So now, I'm sitting at my home
At a desk in the basement making songs
Now is then's future
People always said to do what best suits ya
So I played the trumpet
Do-do-do-doot, ain't that something?
But it don't play the bills
Guess I'll have to keep working till my pockets fill
Ain't it funny?
How we all need money
Even though it won't
Aughh
I digress
Went to college but got no job
Studied hard, but I also partied a lot
You know, I wouldn't change a thing
Because I learned quite a bit
Went to college but got no job
Studied hard, but I also partied a lot
You know, I wouldn't change a thing
Because I learned quite a bit
I felt like Jack Sparrow with his compass
I couldn't find the way to go
Eventually the fog lifted
Left a dew on my mind
Fresh thoughts of what to do with my time
Like singing and rapping, moving and clapping
Strumming my guitar and tooting my trumpet
I make the music that I like and I love it
It still don't play the bills
But I know my heart is filled and I won't stop it
Guess now I'm the man with the plan
Gonna fill the world up with Moon Cactus stans
Strong in my spirit cause I'm short in my hands
Used to be self-conscious, now I don't give a damn
So I'm lacing up these words with my feelings
Music is the only thing that's ever been appealing
And I love how there's no ceiling
To the lessons and the healing that it brings
I put the brass to my mouth and let it sing
Went to college but got no job
Studied hard, but I also partied a lot
You know, I wouldn't change a thing
Because I learned quite a bit
Studied hard, but I also partied a lot
You know, I wouldn't change a thing
Because I learned quite a bit
