Lucas and I After a Sleepover

We wake up at nine and we go for a walk
Reminiscing of times and we're laughing a lot
He wished we had bikes and I wish I wore socks
We walk for a while and we talk and we talk
He speaks of our friend who's been off for a while
Then I mention his girlfriend whose brain that he washed
And then it goes quiet

We finally arrive at the grocery store
And I am way behind as he opens the door
He picks up a coke and some candy before
I make a remark and we head out the door
He pays for our breakfast and we talk some more

We have nothing to do so we sit for a while
So he calls us a cab and we head to his house
Then I call up a friend and she's down to hang out
And we meet up the friend and we swim at his house
And then it goes quiet

We speak of our dreams and our futures and how
We'll all still be friends but in separate towns
See how the tables have turned for me now
won't you look at me now

And now I'm all quiet
