P-P-P-Plumbing
I was doin' a little peyote this mornin'
I thought I heard the voice of god
Turns out it was just my friend Doug
He do sound a bit like what you'd imagine God would sound like
I forgot he was in the room with me
He gave me the peyote
He went to seminary, was gonna drop out cause he sounded like God
They was feelin' insecure cause he sounded like God
They expelled him for doin' ecstasy in the bathroom
He thought he was partin' sed seas of turds
He was only partin' the yellow sea
Had his hand halfway down the pipe
He was ticklin' the plumbin', if you know what I mean
Anyway, what do I know?
I dropped outta high school when I was 13
So, the peyote really started kickin' in
He wasn't the voice of god
But he started to look like a plumber
Ya know, not the ass-crack-hangin'-out type
More like the red with green brother type
He offered me some Mendocino Greeno
I took a puff, and off we'd go
Outside we went in San Francisco
Wasn't quite like rural Mississippi
Streets were dirty and a little loud
We went and knocked on some poor dude's door
The neighborinos were also high off their rocker
They were lookin' at me like some average Joe
Anyway, what do I know?
I dropped outta high school when I was 13
Anyway, my hand's hurtin',
So we gonna change keys here
So the Mendocino was laced with a little Berkeley
The music was getting louder
Homeless were getting colorful
The uppity new hippies were looking at me rather frightful
I mean, I'm just a 6'10" Arab from Mississippi
What do they really see?
A large brown man speakin' funny?
Should be another normal thing in San Fran
The people knew I was high
But the cops didn't
Seems they started profilin'
Anyway, what do I know?
I dropped outta high school when I was 13
I thought I heard the voice of god
