Dead Broke

I've been dead broke
Nothing but some cotton lint up in my pocket
Not gone lie sometimes I had to (pickpocket)
But nowadays I just pick cotton
For my friends to get rocking
Flip it make a big profit (oh yeah!)
And it's funny how history had been flip flopping (flip flopping)
But that's what happens when you actually learn from it
Instead of plugging your ears acting like you heard nothing
And now you looking like Fabio when that bird coming
And you don't know what I been through
So I do not need your assumptions
Dirty dog learned to play it clean
The cops were herb hunting
It doesn't mean I was deturred from it
I just had to duck out chickens with some thyme
Like it was a turducken
But look imma observe functions
Just like I'm a third cousin
But look I don't blur nothing
Like when my uncle took a sip too much
Of that slur substance and I learned from him
I think it's time I go burn a bridge ya bish

Ben Buuuuuuck

I've been dead broke
Barely had a dollar to my name
Reaching out
Needed to check my pocket for some change
All I found was lint
All my dollars spent
All had gone to rent
Been here before so I wouldn't wanna do that shit again
Now I get it in diggin in the crates
Buck and NateTheeGreat, Shadowboxin on another day
Cleaning off my plate
When chop a beat brake about to levitate
But at least I'll try and reach a higher plane
Or a better state
Used to have to throw a couple quarters in the tank
So now I'm saying thanks
Tired of all the orders outta order now I'm pulling rank
For all the days when I was stuck up in the worst way
Grinding just to earn wage
Turn it back to the first page
When they turn they back it seems they fronted in the first place
It ain't a race a turn a rapper to a skirt steak
Sound system make the earth shake word to Nate
