Ice Cold (Interlude)

King Solomon said
"I am very dark, but lovely
Oh daughters of Jerusalem
Like the tents of Kedar
Like the curtains of Solomon
Do not gaze at me because I am dark
Because the sun has looked upon me"
Yet today I'm still judged by my race
For me, there never ought to be a place
But like they say, "sheer ignorance is bliss"
Just like Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss
They cloak their loathing thoughts behind deceiving eyes
Those men who once wore hoods and robes
Today wear suits and ties
All this causes unwanted thoughts to creep over me and haunt me day and night
Making me feel alone and like a freak, a sore sight
In a cold world where injustice, inhumanity, and falsehood seem to hold
I had to adapt, that's why I'm ice cold and it's gold
