Track by Track: Fragile Like a Rose (O Melinda)
"Fragile Like a Rose, O Melinda"
Again, erm, was written sometime ago, and the name was changed several times
At one point, it became "O Jevinda"
But I wasn't sure that I would offend anybody with that, so I went with the
Least offensive "Melinda", so that nobody got upset
I just liked the, um, the repeating vocals at the end
End and, uh, where "Fragile like a rose" is actually kind of a backing vocal
We talked, and, um, that as the title just kind of appealed to me
I love this song, it's not got a particularly, uh
You know, verse struc- verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure
And I think that's why I like it, it's unusual
The rhyme's unusual, and it doesn't go where you expect it to
So it's one of my favourites
