The Sound of Freedom

I can hear them coming. I know what that means
They screech and scream it's only one of two things
They come to save or assist to the grave
Don't resist better behave cause' you're still a slave
To something or another, one thing you'll discover
Addictions and afflictions are both blind to color
But when you see the red of their eyes beaming
Judgment day, will you stay with an-gels or demons
In your forever after or rapture captures your final chapter
Not a matter of laughter disaster shatters your soul faster
Than contractors mixing batter for plaster
Neither pastors or actors or rappers factors
If your ladder don't lead to the master

Can you hear the sound
It's all around me
I hear the sound
It's calling me
The sound of freedom

Glory, glory, hallelu
Everybody's got a story yes even you
Too many boys in blue with poisoned views
Thinking they're the chosen few with the power to do
Anything with no account-ability amounts
To no civility the hostility surmounts
Humility to de-escalate hate from a place that was learned
Who suffers when mothers watches their baby's bodies turn
To ashes then to the urn
When you hear them all the time it's like your mind begins to panic
You're on edge on the ledge all your nerves are on frantic
Until you become immune desensitized out of tune
Your body is present but mind outside of the room
Escape to a place where they no longer consume
The thought of urgency, ubiquity within your grasp
Seek and ye shall find, then knock but first ask
And in due time your mind will find
The kind of change that pain can't bind
A sign appears that calms your ears
A sound of silence from all those years
Now drops of joy live in your tears
Fright no more faith replace fears
