Generation Loss

Far away now and not coming home
Won't say goodbye won't fall apart before I go
Tank is empty and I can't keep on
You can hate me I'll be saintly when I'm gone

And the kids don't care who I used to be
They'll get old and they'll get sad and be just like me
My chance is over but I guess I'll be okay
Kids will get rid of all the things that shouldn't stay

There were things I still wanted to do
Had so much time and shut my eyes, time fucking flew
Lesson's over, class dismissed
Push your chairs in shut the lights off and resist

When I grew up I didn't stick around
Now I'm a stranger I'm the danger in my town
Don't inherit all the things your parents said
They had a blast but it's in the past so keep it dead

Don't sell out and don't waste your prime
The ride is over now I'm old and out of time
You can tell 'em all the stuff that I had planned
Too stupid shy I'm all supply with no demand
