Fortune Teller
Laid on the floor for an hour or so
Just wanted to stay
But instead I go
I'm out on the street
By the donut shop and I see
The fortune teller sign
She sits behind a sheet
And I wonder if she can tell me
Something I don't know about myself
The lines in my hand
Red from the cold
Lead somewhere I guess
But I don't know
The psychic reads my star chart
Moon in Scorpio
And I wonder if she can tell me
Something I don't know
Where I'm going
What the future holds
If I'll live to grow old
And I feel so lost
And I feel so far gone
Rooted back to my feet on the floor
And I wonder
Does she see me in the crystal ball
I dreamt of hot air balloons on fire
Walking through a desert
To find a train car I spray painted
When I was 17
Does she see?
I hope someone can tell me
Where I'm going
Who I'll be
What the future holds
And if I'll live to grow old
In this reality
But instead I just sit here
And my palms
They bleed
Just wanted to stay
But instead I go
I'm out on the street
By the donut shop and I see
The fortune teller sign
She sits behind a sheet
And I wonder if she can tell me
Something I don't know about myself
The lines in my hand
Red from the cold
Lead somewhere I guess
But I don't know
The psychic reads my star chart
Moon in Scorpio
And I wonder if she can tell me
Something I don't know
Where I'm going
What the future holds
If I'll live to grow old
And I feel so lost
And I feel so far gone
Rooted back to my feet on the floor
And I wonder
Does she see me in the crystal ball
I dreamt of hot air balloons on fire
Walking through a desert
To find a train car I spray painted
When I was 17
Does she see?
I hope someone can tell me
Where I'm going
Who I'll be
What the future holds
And if I'll live to grow old
In this reality
But instead I just sit here
And my palms
They bleed
