To My Deliverer

I was dwelling in a lone town
In my own world, man I was going down
I was living days like they were my days
Many godless cares in my life and no one but me to praise

But Your pursued me and you saw me
Not for who I was but for who I could be
And You saved me, You remade me
Now my chains are gone, You set me free

I owe my life to my Deliverer
You rescued me, though I be "the least of these"
And I owe my life to my Deliverer
He saved me and gave me eternal hope through Him

I was working for the wrong side
Through the devil's dirty works, I was tricked by his lies
I was kept from the dark of all my sins
The damage they had caused, the need of Christ within

Whenever I look to the world's things
I lose sight of Christ and the peace He brings
Sometimes I've stumbled and sometimes I've torn
Away from His Word and our relationship was worn

But You pursued me and You saw me
Not for who I was but for who I could be
You worked through me, You renewed me
My idols fell, You set me free
