Canadian Goose

Broke your new glasses on the passenger seat
Driving our asses in inclement weather
You squint your eyes try to see through the sleet
Stop on the side of the highway wait for it to get better

But we're in trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two

Counting the ways we may have come this far
Counting the days we've spent together
Looking ahead guess i'll live out of my car
Make a new bed in the back of canadian goose feathers

To ward off the trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two

I can recall the big and the small
gestures of kindness
The people who shared all they could they all cared for me
even in my blindness
I guess that's a gift that can't be revoked by
the arrow of new destinations
I'm sure i'll return it in time wind my way back
like birds fly with navigation

Come the spring showers I'll bid my farewell
Wish every hour this town weren't so hard to part with
So many tender games of show and tell
Guess I can't reverse the wheeling thoughts

That got us into trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two
