My Blues I

Somewhere down on the avenue
A gypsy woman plays the blues
She makes the sounds that take me off the ground
She doesn't have a clue

She's got whiskey in a bottle
A ribbon in her hair
As the people gather round her
But she don't care

Speak of the Devil and he shall appear
I don't gotta worry for another five years
Won't shed no tears when the crossroads meet
But listen to my guitar as it weeps

This is my blues with hints of black and red
The portrait's still moving in my heart and in my head
Gypsy woman looking up with eyes that glow
Waiting for a moment to steal your face and soul
